A warm welcome to South Tyrol!
The newly renovated Oberfallerhof is a magnificent, quiet and sunlit retreat perfect for people who want to get away from the commotion of city-life for a while – and at the same time the perfect starting point for hiking in the majestic alps. The Oberfallerhof provides its guests the opportunity to experience South Tyrol and its mix of Alpine and Mediterranean cultures. The Oberfallerhof owned and run by Sabine Kasslatter and Erich Mur, is located in the middle of South Tyrol, in the Eisacktal valley at 750m above sea level, surrounded by apple orchards, vegetable fields and forests.
Our panorama ranges from the Zillertal Alps to the Dolomites. Famous peaks such as the Schlern, the Plose or the Weißhorn are within reach.
Four apartments with private sauna
Our old farmhouse was renovated in 2021. We embedded four very special apartments: generously planned with big windows and balconies, with a focus on accessability and sustainability. Cosy and comfortably furnished, with great attention to detail: using local craftmanship, high quality material and wood from our forests.
Our house’s special feature is the ground floor. A "living room a`la grande", only reserved for our guests. The space comes with a cozy fireplace and comfortable sofas, a well-stocked library, a vaulted cellar with seating areas, and a modern shared kitchen makes it the perfect place for relaxing. A wide door in the large window front leads directly onto a spacious terrace and walk into the beautiful garden, with an incredible view of the Schlern. Guests can also get a taste of our culture at the small shop stacked with local products.
On request our guests can also use the space for celebrations and/or workshops, conferences, and seminars.
An incredible feature of our farm is our newly created garden world. An invitation to stroll and discover, to snack and linger. Be it in the traditional South Tyrolean farmers’ garden, in the rose or hydrangea garden, in the berry garden, in the beer garden under the old walnut tree, on the lawn or under the grape pergola.
You are welcome to help yourself in the fragrant vegetable and herb beds, or at the orchard!
Fresh air and wide horizon.
Have your morning coffee while listening to chirping birds.
Just few minutes away from the Oberfallerhof are the starting points of magnificent hike and bike tours. In half an hour you can reach world-famous mountain peaks of the Dolomites and ski resorts - such as the Sellaronda in Val Gardena. The bishop’s town of Brixen, the artists' town of Klausen, the provincial capital of Bozen and the spa town of Meran are also not far away – easily accessible by public transport.
It is important for us to meet our guests’ individual needs and wishes and make your holiday special. For those who want to unwind, we carefully and respectfully create a peaceful atmosphere. For those who want to experience the country and its people and learn more about the stories behind the history, we are here to accompany and guide you – mountaineering or sitting together cosily.
